Dzialoszyce 

Dzialoszyce is located in a region with strong agricultural traditions and represents typical features of a local commercial centre. Apart from the medieval church, there was also a magnificent synagogue and a large role for the Jewish community.

The work includes documentation of the existing state, historical and landscape studies as well as an innovative project of revitalization of the centre in the field of communication, architecture and greenery.

Nowadays, the social structure has changed and the chance for the development of the town is its location on historical trails and the possibility of making it available for tourists and ensuring peaceful life for the inhabitants in a beautiful and ecologically clean region. Unfortunately, the town is not prepared for this either in terms of function or aesthetics.

The railway line was eliminated and the market square, surrounded by characteristic tenement houses, transformed into a onerous comm-unication node, disintegrating the life of the inhabitants. In the very centre of the city there are degraded wastelands.

Dzialoszyce is a town picturesquely situated and interestingly exposed in the landscape of the Sancygniówka and Jakubówka valleys. It has a rich history, outstanding monuments and a relatively well-preserved spatial layout, but is heavily degraded visually. Historical disasters - wars, numerous floods and fires significantly contributed to the unfavourable changes and marginalization of the resort. In the post-war period, many ill-considered modernization decisions were also made, destroying the old structure by introducing large plate objects into the area of the historical centre.

The aim of the Master's thesis was the analysis of cultural landscape transformations and the study of external and internal functional and spatial relations between Dzialoszyce and the surrounding areas in terms of the directions of their revitalization. The main objective was to indicate the possibility of increasing the utility and aesthetic values of the town based on its historical and landscape resources so that it becomes friendly to the inhabitants and constitutes a tourist attraction of the region.
